BBC Planet Earth II approached Blippar to create an unique AR experience for its launch in Asia. Tapping on Blippar's object recognition technology, the animals from the documentary were brought to life by scanning relevant everday objects. Rotoscoped videos of the animals were created from selected clips from the documentary as AR intro overlays. Facts about the animals are served in the static pages. We also proposed a series of social media posts to boost traffic to the AR experience.
